Method for recycling polyurethane fiber waste by alcoholysis
In recent years, the spandex industry has developed rapidly and its output has doubled. At the same time, a large amount of waste is generated in the production and use of spandex. Therefore, the recycling of spandex waste has become an urgent problem to be solved. These wastes can be disposed of by landfill and incineration, but this will not only waste a lot of chemical raw materials, but also cause land waste and air pollution, which is not in line with the sustainable development strategy of the earth. If these wastes can be recycled and reused, they will have significant social benefits and have very important economic value. The current chemical recovery methods include thermal cracking, hydrolysis, and alkali hydrolysis, but they are not taken seriously because of their complicated processes and difficult separation of products. There is also information on the alcoholysis method, but the polyurethane wastes that are degraded are mostly polyurethane foams, elastomers, and the like. Studies on the recycling of polyurethane fiber waste using alcoholic agents have not been reported.  The result of this project is to provide a process method with simple operation, short process flow and high recovery rate for recycling of polyurethane fiber waste. The degradation product of the polyurethane fiber waste can be reacted with the isocyanate and the chain extender after separation and purification, and the obtained polyurethane product can be used as a coating, a film, a foam, a fiber and the like.
